CB Operated by the IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechical Equipment and Components (IECEE), the IECEE CB Scheme is an international system for mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates dealing with the safety of electrical and electronic components, equipment and products.

The CB scheme is an international system for mutual recognition of test results and certificates relating to the safety of electrical and electronic components, operating equipment and products on the basis of a multilateral agreement between participating countries and certification organizations.

It is a multilateral agreement among participating countries and certification organizations, which aims to facilitate trade by promoting harmonization of national standards with International Standards and cooperation among accepted National Certification Bodies (NCBs) worldwide. By achieving this, it brings product manufacturers a step closer to the ideal concept of "one product, one test, one mark, where applicable.

Why CB? This Scheme helps the product manufacturers market their products internationally with easy of trade and complying with local regulations.

CB can be done for many Products or Components or Modules, Parts etc.. However, there are several CB Scheme are available and the following standards are applicable to respective products and here some of the CB schemes.

• IEC 60950 and IEC 62368 - Information Technology Equipment.
• IEC 60065 and IEC 62368 - Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus.
• IEC 60335 - Household and similar electrical appliances
